Dead Cool Box

With help from many on here I successfully transferred the cool box from my 06 D3 to my 16 D4. It worked fine for a while but developed a 'fluttering' noise when on. I dismantled the mid-console and found it was a manufacturer's paper label near the fan fluttering in the breeze! Huge relief.
I then carefully rebuilt the top of the cubby box and mid-console, testing that everything was working at each stage and no 'fluttering' noises. All went well. Again huge relief!
A couple of days later, just as we left on a week's break (for which the cool box was required) it showed no light on the switch and nothing happened.
I wondered if I might have disconnected it somehow or the fuse had blown. Fuse was fine and when I dismantled the mid-console AGAIN, the connection seemed fine.
I checked that there was power at the end of the supply lead, yes, 12v switched.
But still; no cool box.
Can anybody advise? Is it defunct? Does anybody know anybody with the knowledge and kit to run some diagnostics on it?
I am happy to strip it out AGAIN and send it.
Or do I just replace it with a new one?
Sad Sad Sad Big Cry

If it's got power but not working, it seems replacement would be the easiest option given that SH units are not particularly expensive.

Have a look for Peltier modules, find the size of yours and change it. It's probably that if fan was working correctly.
