Tailgate handle

How do people repair the rear tailgate handles when the nuts for the four torx bolts spin in the plastic casing?

Peel the rubber cover off the button. It’s probably full of muck and corrosion. Clean it if that doesn’t work you can also replace the switch from there. Buy the one for a focus or fiesta. Half the price of the Land Rover unit which is the same thing.

If the torx are spinning I’d try unbolting the 10mm nuts and just prising the unit off. The nuts holding the spinning torx should slide out and once done you should be able to unscrew and then glue back into unit
