Hi all
I’m planning on towing my 3.5 tonne trailer tomorrow on new tyres
And wondering should I be adding extra pressure?
I’ve got the Michelin winter 275/45 zr20 110y xl tyres green alpin model
The side of the tyre says 50psi max
Am I safe to say pump them to 50 psi and don’t worry? Or is there a towing psi please?

No do not inflate to 50 psi there is a sticker at the bottom of the drivers door that will give you the correct tyre pressures for towing fully loaded. Anything under 1.5 tons just use the normal pressure Andrew

I have the same size tyres as you on my D4 Commercial, which is used for towing.
I run 40psi on the rears and 36psi on the fronts.

It's a two seater, but I have a jack, tools and straps etc. in the back, I suppose that'll be the same as having one person in the back, but primarily it's because I am towing between 2 and 3.5 tons on a daily basis.
I've tried many variations, but these suit me, whatever trailer and load I have.
