Gearbox issue

Gearbox issue

Gearbox went into fault yesterday, limited gears available, the cars booked in for the tc to be replaced but I think it’s gone completely, got the following codes if anyone can help

P 0730
P 0735
U 0155
U 0128

The P codes can sometimes be fixed with a valve body rebuild if the stator bushes arent badly worn, P0735 indicates an issue with 5th gear which may be just a bad solenoid or internal fluid leakage.

Thanks for the reply, going to park it up over winter until we decide what to do with it, it’s a lot of money for the repair, I’m not sure it’s cost effective to spend so much on the car as it’s a 2004

I get 730/735 codes and limited gears after an hour towing my caravan, perfectly okay the rest of the time, I’d like to say I’m saving for rebuild but with all the other little things that go wrong with these cars it’s tricky. Steve

could be a cracked clutch drum. Rebuild is about £2500 I think Embarassed
