Interior lights - centre light working - side lights not! |
|
Evening - going for 3 in a row here.
Does anyone happen to know if there's a reason why the middle light in both cluster works on my 2010 d4 - but the side ones don't? By that I mean of the 3 switches on both light units (front and rear passenger) only the middle one works - so only illuminates the main light. If you press either of the side button (on either lights) nothing happens! In addition, the centre button on the rear console doesn't light up the main light, but if you press the one at the front (and the rear button is pressed) it will light up.
Does that make any sense? I have that feeling I've over talked it!!!!
I read somewhere that you can do a reset by holding your finger down on the centre button for 3 secs - is that true? Might also be worth mentioning that the car has just had a new battery fitted.
Thanks.

Not yet - but surely not all 4 could or would blow together? Just realised the vanity lights on the visors don't won't too... coincidence !

It's ridiculously easy to push the light fitting back through the hole when changing bulbs so could be a factor?
Yes ... Press and hold button for changing function. Not sure how long for. .

Just seems so unlikely that they would all go at once - that would be 6 bulbs! That and with the switch in the back only working when you press the front one..
Ill try and do a reset - don't want to brake it though!!

Its just gone back in today to have its handbrake done - but I did the holding down the button thing and no change.
Must be a fuse somewhere - you would just think I fuse did them all!
