My fuel flap won’t open. Tried locking/unlocking several times. Any idea please? I’m low on diesel so can’t use can unless I can get it to open!

But when SWMBO's Tiguan was playing up (fuel flap would not open when pressing), before I had a chance to replace the actuator (£35) we had to give it a smack with the flat palm of the hand or the back of your fist a few times to 'encourage' it to open. Nothing too violent but it got us out of trouble. Might be worth a try?

You can operate it by hand. It's above the jack storage behind right hand boot panel. .

Mine was stuck when I bought the car (embarrassing at Tesco’s garage), I levered it a little and then tried it a few more times and it popped open. Lots of WD40 as soon as I got home and it’s been ok since… I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Seems ok again now! Clearly had time to sit and think about what she’d done while on the naughty step! 🤣 She does like to play me up now and again! My brother said she wanted a man’s touch 🤣
