Hi,
I currently have a 7 pin socket for a trailer which has been spliced by the previous owner.
I want to upgrade to 13 pin with a plug and play kit.
My question is can I keep the existing 7 pin and add the 13 pin allowing me to use either socket at any one time or do I eed to completely remove the 7 pin which could cause other issues?

Thanks in advance

I would get rid of thespliced 7-pin and fit the proper 13-pin. It is just plug in anyway. You can get an adaptor to take a 7-pin plug for less then a tenner.
