[Not Required] EGR Pipes into Throttle Body - MOT Failure

I blanked my EGR valves many many years ago and never had a problem with MOT's. Unfortunately we have a new MOT inspector and he noticed straight away my EGR pipes were missing, so the D3 has failed MOT.

I still have the EGR pipes from the EGR valve to the throttle body, but I've seem to have mislaid the pipes that sit within the throttle body that these pipes connect to. I will still have these blanked, but need to be visible. Just to note I did have the engine cover on, but he still spotted they were removed.

Has anybody got some kicking around?

EDIT: This is for a 2006 D3, TDV6, 2.7.

Thanks
John

You won't need those bits

Just fit the pipes for the EGR back in place ontop of the blanking plates. Engine cover on, job done Thumbs Up

Yeah that's what I was thinking actually. I assume they should not be removing the engine cover for the MOT.

If he did remove your engine cover, he must have taken the oil filler cap off. All kinds of sh*t could have entered your engine Shocked Because he won’t have taken the care that you or I would, in removing any grit and debris from the recess, before removing the cover. If he did actually do this, it’s just NOT acceptable, he is tampering beyond his station, I think this guy may need to be reported, personally.
