holiday covid info please
Hi all
I wonder if someone could help me please
I have book a short ski trip for myself and my son to Chamonix France.
I will be flying to Geneva then driving to Chamonix.
Can someone please let me know what I need to get/ do regarding Covid, i want to make sure i have every thing covered, had a look at the Gov website but I'm really not understand it.
Really appreciated someones help.

Switzerland was a bit harder to find info on, you may only be flying in and driving out but they’ll treat you like you’re staying2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

You can tick the "transit" if you aren't staying overnight. As long as you are vaccinated, no PCR needed.
Crossing into France, you are travelling from a "Green" country as you exit Switzerland. You will need to complete a statement, available at the bottom of this page

And use a “fresh” copy of the NHS pdf. I couldn’t understand why my apps were declaring my jabs as invalid but I’d used an old screen print and they only have 30 days validity. Fresh is best.

It's looking like it's about to loosen up again another stage in the next day or so though... and it seems to be that 24/28 hour tests will drop.

If you're double vaccinated, then you will be fine.
Depending on the age of your son, that will be your biggest challenge. Our eldest is 12 years and 6 weeks, with 1 jab, but not the second (impossible to get in the UK).
There are two challenges firstly getting in to France, and secondly getting around France.
Getting in - just keep watching the news and the site above - my guess (which is the last think you want to bank on) is that everything will move to anyone over 18 with double vax will be fine to travel in with no tests. At the moment unvaccinated, kids are treated the same as their parents but need to test 24/48 hours before you leave.
Getting around - at the moment, particularly in resorts, the restrictions are different - especially in relation to child ages. You will probably need a pass for the resort - you do at ours.

Our 12 year old will be OK, because he's under 12 years and 2 months.
Not a lot I loose sleep over, but the constant changing of laws/requirements is really frustrating!
