Do you have milky projector lenses?

I had issues with my old van headlights. I stripped them down and cleaned the projector lenses as they were dirty.

Looking at my d4 lamps they also looked the same, but being xenon not as noticeable in the dark.

I stripped down today and using a welding rod with rag and mentholated spirits cleaned them up. The difference is night and day.

Can you take the reflector assembly out or do you have to do it with a rod through the burner aperture?
Never knew they got dirty, I am going to check to see if mine are grubby.
Cheers.

No you can’t get them out. You can in some headlamps tho. Ie Ford transits.

I just used a welding rod, taped a bit of lint free cloth to the end and dipped in meth spirits.
Worked a treat.

It’s surprising how dirty they are. You get a much bluer lightning from them in the dark.

Steve.
