2017 Range Rover Sport Battery reset |
|
I have an IID tool registered for my D4.
My neighbour needs a new battery in his 2017 Range Rover Sport diesel.
Does the car the car need to be told it has a new battery like a D4?
Can I do the battery reset with my IID tool without adding his VIN to my tool?
I have reset fault codes for him in the past. Many thanks in advance for your answers. Disco 4

Not essential IMHO, it will soon “learn” that it has a new battery, far more important that he fits a dummy OBD socket, my SIL has just had his 2020 stolen within 30 seconds of leaving it outside his house while he carried his baby son into the house. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
