I have a Ctek tail with the led charge lights attached to the battery and the end comes out of the top of the bonnet for charging, when not in use it tucks under the wiper, absolutely no reason to go drilling holes or pull stuff off, zi use this system on 6 vehicles

Russell, just bear in mind the lead from the charge unit to the 'tail' is not that long, so in order to ensure it is kept dry ensure you have a plan of where you want to place the charging unit. I place it on the front wheel in a loose plastic bag under the wheel arch out of sight, you can gave as long a power lead as you want from the unit to the wall power source, but the longer the lead from the unit to the battery the more the charging power you lose, some time ago Ctek refused to make espy tensions claiming it affected the charging, I had some made, I think they realise it was a necessity for dome people due to battery positions and now sell them themselves,
Good luck

I hang mine from the rafters with the cable just hanging down so it arrives in the right place when I park - it also acts as a guide as space is tight.

DT yes I know the leads are not that long. I am looking at using the NS false air intake for two reasons, close to the battery and would also be easy/close to the charger, finally it also makes it easily accessible if I get a shout, unplug and go. Yeah I remember the thread too, it was just the above comfort connector mounted in the intake. Nothing more complicated than that. I've also helped someone to mount one in the front grill and another to mount one in the boot. I am thinking of fitting one to the back of my D4.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Hi,
it is even easier if you build an adapter for the towing electrics.
