gather this road in scotland has been hit again this week by landslides...just watch an interesting video on you tube of how the old military road has been brought in as a diversion...amazing part of the world...one of our favourite location in scotland...very good to see after snow...close to sea raider on here

My main road for anywhere south.
Luckily not slid this week, its closed as a precaution which is the norm these days when heavy rain forecast.
The Old Military Road is in use during closures of the 83 but is run on a convoy system as its single track, delays of half an hour are the usual when waiting.

thanks SR..thought it may be a convoy scenario...still better than the long way around i guess...we were last there three years ago on a day trip from Bute...via dunnoon and loch eck..good day out.no snow until we got to RABT...be interesting how you get on tonight/tomorow with the storms
