IID question

Hi after being a serial stalker on this forum & finding a lot of answers to my questions without asking. I’m now stuck. I have a IID tool for my D3 & I’m thinking about upgrading to a D4. My question is if I take along my tool to very subtlety plug into the D4 even though I’m registered to my D3 will I still get basic faults?? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Yes is the short answer - worked on my brothers D4 to read faults, only needs the VIN adding to modify the config
