Diagnosing a level sensor
Morning All,
So my D4 has been jacked up alot recently, new lower arms, then new pads, then an abs sensor all within a couple of weeks.
I after doing the abs sensor, I stated getting the message 'normal height only', I know this usually corresponds to a leaky compressor, but the pressure, rear suspension etc all. Work perfect, but the front doesn't seem to be responding.. Its just stuck at normal height all the time..
There are 2 faults that come up (see photo) one for suspension and one for ABS.
I thought I'd have a go at checking the level sensors, I used my Gap IID and was looking at the values, while operating the sensor arms manually.
The OSF, the value changed as you'd expect, the voltage went up and down as you move the arm through its stroke.. Also, when you unplug it, the value goes to Zero bolts.. As you'd expect..
The NSF however, when you operate the lever the voltage stays the same, maybe up or down by 0.01V, and when you unplug it, the value stays the same (~2.7v)
I would guess this is a faulty sensor, but seems odd that the value doesn't drop to zero when you unplug it?
