DD295 transfer case oil pump question

Hi All,
My transfer case has sprung a leak and now has a bearing noise and I suspect it's the input bearing and subsequently the seal which is failing. It still drives nice, and maybe I shouldn't have but I took it to the airport as planned thinking it'll be all good, and it was, but then once I got back and started doing some reading I found this fancy transfer case has an oil pump and my oil is a bit silvery at the moment. I'm going to bet it'll all be ok, just install the new bearings and seals and clean it all up and she'll go again for ages. But thought someone who'd done the job before could comment on the oil pump situation, are they robust and will go forever? or fragile and better off changing it, was all working fine up till the bearing collapse, ran it for about 300km after the noise appeared. Thanks.
