Water in fuel
I've been getting the restricted performance and code on and off for a while. It's been serviced and changed filter to no avail. Still comes on every now and then, I've got a new filter housing but the mechanic says it's a pig of a job as the Cross member needs dropped is this right or can you access it enough to change? Any help appreciated thanksDiscovery 4

Not sure on the fitting, but it’s the filter housing that causes the issue, so it needs changing.
I’ve had the same in the past, and a new filter housing sorted the issue. I don’t remember anyone mentioning it being a pig or expensive job, but it was about 4/5 years ago!

I had the water in fuel filter warning yesterday, coupled with a suspension fault warning. I was 70 miles from home pulled over into a lay-by and after restarting the car "the water in fuel" message disappeared.
I checked the car this morning & now no warnings
I just wonder could the two warnings be related?
Any thoughts appreciated.

Water in fuel will give restricted performance notification and as per original thread, invariably the filter housing (I had it a year or so ago and replaced filter & housing).
I'd be really surprised if that would/could be linked to suspension problems.
