Mile High Club... (but not THAT one)...

Having only recently discovered the off road navigation system, I now find myself addicted to the screen, particularly monitoring the Altitude reading. I don't know why, really.

Anyway, I'm curious to see who gets their D3/D4 to the highest point, so please let us know on this thread. Only photographic evidence counts.

I'll start off with this paltry effort, at just 500ft, but that said the dawn sun looks great off the top of The Ridges here in Berkshire...

 2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...
2014 BMW 435d convertible. Bought July 2021. 58,000 miles and counting...
2005 Discovery 3 HSE Auto. Bought Feb 2019. 169,000 miles and counting...
2009 Freelander 2 XS Manual. Bought Sep 2013. SOLD Aug 2021 (already regretted!)

My drive - 430 ft, on the top of a hill, so I'm not worried about flooding. Thumbs Up

Somewhere I have a picture of the RRS at 8000ft crossing in to Andorra. But I know the rules - without a photo, it didn't happen! Rolling with laughter

"When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die! You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning: SIT DOWN AND TALK!"

Dark Bluie up an Andorran mountain recovering a dead D3 down the mountain. Prob we’ll over 8,000 ft but was more concerned about towing mate’s car out and the thunderstorm doing it’s thing over our heads.

And at Pic de l’Orri, a mere 4,711 ft

Not a D3 or D4, but my brothers 110 that we took up the Karakorum highway in Pakistan in 1999:

4600m or 15,901 ft. The marble 'monument, was the Pakistan border post. There was/is a glass fronted Chinese building a few miles down the road.

I flew out to meet my brother in Pakistan, but he drove from Sheffield out as far as Nepal. Best holiday ever!

We also went up to the Deosai Plains between Pakistan and India:

The stupidity of youth - Pakistan and India were having one of their unofficial wars. The Deosai plains were a Pakistan supply route. Mobile anti aircraft batteries, etc. The truck below is so full of artillary shells it did not have the power to get up the hill:

He also had no brakes! Brake function was two kids with wooden chocks.

Adrian
Series one 1949 - in bits, chassis is strapped to the ceiling in my garage (beside the canoe)
LR 90 - In bits
Disco 3 - currently in bits
