Used my timed climate for the first time this year today.
Toasty n warm, only problem is that 20 mins later came to go to work and had a flat battery.
Have had a look on Halfords, they recommend an 019AGM or a 110, Tayna batteries says 017
The one I currently have is this;
Pennies are a bit tight at the moment so don't really know what to go for??
I had same issue with Halfrauds website. Their 019 is the correct battery... their technicians know it too, just not the website bods..

You can in theory fit either ((017 or 019), 019 is usually a heavy duty 017, an AGM 019 is the best for a D4 it will charge faster, far better for short trips, no acid to spill and usually delivers more amps.
The type you choose should match whatever the CCF is set for, if it’s set to wet cell it could overcharge an AGM, if it’s set for an AGM it will not charge a wet cell fully. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Only if you have Stop-Start. Later on they started using AGM universally..

If you're going to keep the car, put an AGM in.
You'll sleep easier knowing it's more likely to start in the morning, and it'll last longer to boot.
With batteries, just like tyres, you get what you pay for and rue the cheap option when it all goes wrong.

I would certainly only go for an AGM battery, unless you expect to sell the car in the short term.

Will this do the job?
If you fit this and your Disco is a D4 model that should have a AGM battery the warranty will be void, most suppliers ask what vehicle(reg. number) the battery is being fitted too.
If you go to Halfords who are very good keep the receipt in a very safe place as you must produce it for a warranty claim. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Had my battery replaced last November on my MY14 D4.
Just checked my paperwork and it’s a Yuasa AGM 019.
Got it from Halfords and paid £211 (fitted) and got the 5 Year warranty.
Sounds a bit pricey, but the fact it’s a decent battery with a 5 year warranty makes it worth it for me.
As previous battery fitted by a local garage only lasted 2 years & had just a 1 year warranty.

You can get a Bosch or Varta AGM (made by the same company) from Tanya Batteries for less than £160.
The Bosch has a 5 year warranty, the Varta, 4 years.
