I hope someone can help me.
I have a discovery 4 with the low line audio system, i want to upgrade to the high line system, with large screen and sat nav. I know the system works from the MOST bus but i am not sure which components i need to replace. Can anyone help?

Hi Thank you for the thread.
I was hoping to keep it simple but it looks a lot more work than i originally thought. My initial hope was just to upgrade to a level i could have sat nav and the car information screen. is this possible without a full upgrade including the wiring harness?

Not possible and to be honest if I had my time again I'd be looking at an after market unit with decent car play- you have the perfect car to do it in as electrics are a lot simpler! Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

To be honest i think that is the way i will go.
My only concern is the 4x4 information screen. I would really like to have it as i have factory fitted diff lockers and can1t see when they engage at the moment.
Don`t suppose you know of an aftermarket one that does that?

for 4x4 info you would have to have infotainment with 7 inch screen installed and relevant soft on it which is higher line audio on D4
so even if you manage to find some cool setup which fits the cavity where screen sits I doubt it would allow you to get mix of LR soft with aftermarket audio and all
but u never know what Chinese came up with
