Bit of a shot in the dark, this - but does anyone here have any history with a black D4 HSE, reg. CE65LXL?
(And before anyone starts posting links - yes, I've looked at MOT history, etc. online! )

not much help i know but my last Freelander 1 was GRO4 LXL, came from the South Coast, Brighton area IIRC.
So may be worth a call to a LR stealer down there to see if they have any info they are willing to release. I think it was Harwoods Land Rover I spoke to about mine. 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

No, it's not me! Didn't think it would be around for long at that price... but there's something about it which doesn't quite sit right so I didn't make too much effort with it. (Not that a salesman continually failing to call me as promised helped much!)
Just looking at the MOT history made me dubious - brake pipe issues which don't look as though they were properly addressed (advisory on NSR one year, and was obviously left to fester as it was a fail the following year). Failed on OSR one year, and still coming up as an advisory so I'm guessing it was bodged rather than fixed properly. Doesn't suggest a keeper who took care of their vehicle, so it makes me wonder what sort of state it was really in.
Last change of keeper a little over 6 months ago, and 10k miles since - I wonder whether it's had an oil change in that time?!
There must be a reason that a 65-plate HSE on 82k miles was that cheap - dealers don't underprice their cars for no reason!

My feelings exactly. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't! Wouldn't have minded going for a look, regardless, just to see exactly what the situation was - it's only a few miles up the road.
