C1A35-01 Reservoir Valve - Low rising suspension
Hi All,
Whilst loading the old Christmas tree yesterday, I noticed the car seemed a bit slow to rise back to normal height from access. I also got a message saying vehicle raise in progress which it doesn’t normally do. So something want normal! It seems like the raising is only been done by the compressor.
I checked the fault codes using my IID and got the following code:
It seems to suggest it’s the reservoir valve. Does anyone have any further diagnostic tips. Is it a case that the reservoir block has failed and needs to be replaced?
Finally, will it be ok if I look at this in a couple of months? I don’t want to cause any further issues or burn out the compressor etc.
I’ve got to go away travelling next week for work, and then I’m due to be moving house, so time is very short at the moment! Car is behaving normally whilst driving without any dash errors. I don’t normally charge the height very often, so I wouldn’t have realised if I wasn’t trying to load the old Christmas tree!
Any help of tips appreciated!

no help to you but my d3 has had the amber suspension light on now (same code) for about 3 years ive tried every thing to fix it its still the same everything works as it should just the rear does not raise fast before the front and its gone through 3 mot's without a problem
only thing i would say is if you are going to change the res valve put a genuine one on same with the compressor
first place i would be checking is the filter in the compressor to see if its wet if so the res valve is prob stuck with the desiccant from the filterplease excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick, thankyou

Did you replace the desiccant in the dryer on the compressor ?

Thanks chaps.
I haven’t replaced or looked at anything yet.
Have you seen any diagrams or instructions which show how to check or replace the desiccant on the compressor. I haven’t even taken the cover off yet to have a look. It’s monsoon weather in Surrey at the moment and it’s parked on a road.
The compressor was replaced a few years back (probably 3 - 4) with a genuine LR unit.
If the desiccant has gone through and blocked the valve block, can they be cleaned up or is a new one required?

Just had a search, looks like you have to have the compressor out to check the desiccant!
I guess if you take the pipe off between the compressor and the reservoir block, you would be able to see if desiccant had been pulled through?
I guess looking at the reservoir block is probably the easiest starting point? Has anyone done this before and how did you find it in terms of difficulty?
Thanks

Try 4x4airseals.com they also have the videos on how to.
I’ve recently had an error message and changed the filter in the compressor and also cleaned the front valve block as the front seemed to be sagging. When I opened the from valve block, there were quite a lot of the white dust so I opted for a new valve block. I’ve now ordered the seal kit to replace middle and rear valve block seals.2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue

That code also mentions:
reservoir valve block harness wiring short circuit to ground or high resistance or disconnected
and
Air suspension control module failure

So as the weather is starting to improve, I need to look at this again.
Do you have any tips on where i should be checking the wiring to see if there is a fault? Just at the block plug or is there a common point somewhere else?
Thanks
