[For Sale] Lugano Teal 2007 HSE with MOT but spares or repair
I could kick myself as I had a perfectly working vehicle, then I recently decided to service the AMK compressor. I broke it (rounded the alloy screw at rear as took that off in error). Bought a new one and replaced it. I also removed the front valve block and cleaned that.
In doing this, and trying to reassemble I have created a problem I cannot fathom or solve. It must be an air leak/electrical and frankly I've lost patience so reluctantly it is for sale.
A very nice (in my opinion) and was working well, 2007 Discovery 3 HSE. I paid £3,800 for it just under two years ago, and it towed us and the caravan to the New Forest, Isle of Wight etc and has been great.
I have removed the ambers as it has modern rear lights and they suit it more, still have them if needed. It has had the aircon refreshed last summer and capped under front passenger wheel arch as there was probably a leak further back. Still works great but no longer has the 'option' rear aircon working. Still cools the whole cra quickly. Fridge works too.
Mileage shows as 94,000 but clearly it has done more as MOT history takes it to 200,000. I'd guess around 210,000 miles.
I serviced it last year with new oil and filters etc. It's had a little work done for the MOT and is sat on road tyres rather than off road tyres. Very, very Slow leak from the front right. Also has the rear parcel shelf as I bought one for it. Not going to sell that separately. Also has a spare front grill. Neither are original and I painted (fairly well) both as I did not like the one it came with and could not find a used one in teal surprisingly. I did look everywhere for one.
Price? Well that's a good question. If someone comes and offers me £2,500 I'd take it right now. Will continue to see if I can fix it, and if I can I'm keeping it. It's just so damn hard finding a mobile mechanic that will work on Land Rovers locally, and knows the suspension issues.
Current fault code is:
C1131-92 Ride Level Module: Air Supply. Intermittent.
C1A20-64 Ride Level Module: Pressure Increases too slow when filling reservoir.
Registration:
FV07KPG
Lugano Teal exterior and black leather interior. All HSE options and fixed towbar. Clear windows but removable blinds included in sale for passenger and rear (as is parcel shelf). Working aircon (front) and fridge. Working SatNav, CD player etc. (CD player cleaned with a disc cleaner and works perfectly)
Alloys all pretty good.Paintwork pretty good except slight lacquer peel above windscreen, sanded and partially tidied.
Metal side step/bars too.
The car is located in Bedford and is obviously down on its bump stops at the moment. I presume it would need to be trailered away.2007 Discovery 3 HSE Lugano Teal

Hi
Hope u don’t mind me saying , Looks a really nice disco and would be such a shame to sell it because of the suspension faults
Indeed understand suspension errors can sometimes be very frustrating, have u tried using some soapy water first around all the connections, maybe there’s a leak going to the reservoir valve block, air tank or at the front valve block where you’ve removed it
Personally would start with soapy water around all the compressor , reservoir valve block and go from there ,
Hope that may help a little and once again hope u didn’t mind me mentioning it

I can't get the compressor running long enough to get any air into anywhere. By the time I start it and walk round to the compressor, typically it has stopped. I've spent the day with new joins and swapping parts of the compressors and I had it working, gallery pressure got up to 150 and then the compressor stopped and the pressure starting dropping again. I'm thinking of getting a Discovery (5) or a Discovery Sport and swapping the BMW in as well which is why selling is an option. My patience is also running out. I do very much appreciate the comments but I need someone else to fix it for me at this stage.2007 Discovery 3 HSE Lugano Teal

No probs and fully understand where ur coming from with regards to a fresh set of eyes
Know it can be a long winded error going through it step by step, had something very similar to mine when I first bought it, system leaked like a colander , took me a lot of time , made up different test rigs and then started by bench testing the compressor with a gauge , then capped and vacuum tested each line one by one , along with vacuum testing all the valve blocks , air tank , struts , eliminating things bit by bit , after I got it to pass all the vacuum tests then moved over to pressure testing everything , , finding any minute leaks with soapy water etc
Also ensuring all the connections etc were correct , Have also heard of new compressors being faulty
at the end of the day really hope u get it resolved or the vehicle of ur choice

There have been a few calls out for recommendations in your area...
I take it you’ve gone off Rogers? Always worth one last shot with a different garage I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Apologies for not replying to the messages, this is now for sale properly. I'm after £2k for it. Wife has decided I can't have so many cars so looking to move to a Discovery 4 and getting rid of this and the BMW 5 series touring as WFH fulltime now.2007 Discovery 3 HSE Lugano Teal
