MotorEasy
I have managed to get an email to confirm if my D4 goes bang! and it's the result of a Crankshaft failure they will pay 50% cost towards the repair/replacement and they will pay 100% labour cost of £120 per hour.
It's better than nothing I feel. If the worse happens at least I can fight the claim!!

Well done!
What year and mileage is your D4 on?
"New" Warranty Direct wouldn't renew me on a 2014 at 87k, may look at MotorEasy if they might.

Just given them a run through the online quote system.
May i ask why you needed to confirm the crankshaft cover by email? As far as I can see the crankshaft seems specifically covered in the T&Cs (below). Am I missing something here?
This was there top level cover 'B'.

a forum member had his claim thrown out, following a snapped Crankshaft! they sent out an inspector who tried to check his oil level! From what I recalled from the post they blamed a different part that was not covered.

Motoreasy are a bunch of sharks. They will avoid paying out regardless of that email.

I always wanted to catch a shark..
Jokes aside i hope i don't need them TBH, but at least i will have a chance if the car goes bang! I will have nothing to loose at that stage!! Anything I might get back is better than nothing.

Why do you say that? Yes, I veer towards that view but their Trustpilot reviews are good and who else is there?
The fact one customer has an email saying 50% of an engine means that's one customer who was on the ball.. I want to be the second....

Motoreasy seem to be keen to acquire business...
Based upon bdc6570 success at 50% of an engine failure I now have total engine failure cover. They've also said they'll cover the entire front and rear air con system including pipes documented on the policy.
3 year policy at £57 a month for that lot...
Seemed a little easy that but then don't ask don't get I suppose...
