HDC fault, ABS, specials programmes off, suspension lowered

On start up on my 2005 2.7 Disco3 I get 'HDC fault, system not available'. First thought was battery because of cold weather, but then after driving for around 50 foot I get the ABS braking briefly coming on and followed immediately by warnings 'Special programme off' and then 'suspension lowered' as the car lowers.
The compressor is working fine as on start up I can raise and lower suspension.
A mate plugged it into his diagnostics (not landrover) and it listed loads of errors and invalid data, and said it had lost connection on lots (see photos). He said it's almost like it's lost all its programming for the suspension and suggested I take it to a dealer to get it run through their diagnostics.
He cleared the faults but the same things happen every time it's driven.
Before I take it to a dealer, and get fleeced, I was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions as to what it might be that's causing these issues. TIA

Check tyre pressures and reset the steering angle sensor using an OBD tool. I had these symptoms recently, did those items without further issues.
There are other causes but start with these easy ones first.
A forum search for HDC fault will also show you a fair few threads

Thanks, I have already checked the tyre pressures so will speak to a garage about the steering angle sensor. How much should this cost and can any garage do it or just landrover specialists?
Did yours also throw up all these failures to communicate etc when put on the diagnostics?

Yeah, most were historic and cleared, others were current things like aircon system pressure low. Resetting the steering is a 5 minute job provided the sensor isn’t faulty……

5 min job if you had a gap tool, hood knows how long for a garage todo it. If the op can they should try and buy 1 there is a gap tool in yhe for sale section. You can't own 1 of these and not have your own diag/reset tool.

Defo, or the Autel AP200 (the white one) is a very good lower spec alternative that will do the SAS. £50 ish off Amazon
