HDC and Steering Angle Sensor

Hello,

As some may have seen, I've recently had the HDC Fault warning, which resulted in the lowering of the suspension. I described the issue in this thread . . . https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/blasted-hdc-fault-203595.html

Having established that it's not the battery, a diagonostic test points to it being the steering angle sensor causing the problems. I've had a good look around on here and read some of the excellent discussions on the topic, particularly those that talk about the inner sleeve of the SAS slipping and about bonding it in place.

I think that's the issue I have, although mine isn't moving quite as much as others I've seen. Here is a video of what is happening.

If you have experience of this, could you take a look and let me know if you feel this is where my problem is.

Also, if it is the issue, I feel that access will be a struggle. Is there a way to remove the grey plastic panel under the steering?

Many thanks, Darren

P.S. This post on the topic seems particularly useful . . . https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic138700...p;start=45
