Sun spots
On this morning's walk with the Spaniel, the Sun was barely visible through the freezing mist. Couldn't resist a photo and then thought I'd try zooming in using the phone's camera as the mist was acting as a very good filter. I was surprised to see some Sun spots. They are the faint dark splodges near the top of the disc.
Each Sun spot has a larger diameter than the Earth. Just a bit of perspective - we are irrelevant in the Universe.

Tip; clean your phone/computer screen first otherwise you'll see plenty of spots

I checked with SOHO and the sun spots were there at that time, so I'm happy they're real and not lens dirt. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I was talking from my own experience; I opened it on my laptop and thought "there's f***ing hundreds of them" but they didn't move when I moved the picture around the screen
The pre-zoom pic is pretty cool on your post

Oh, yes, it's amazing how many smudges get on a screen over time. Been there, done that. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
