Which one?!

Hi guys,

still trying to make my mind up and find the right car, but i was just wondering for the same money which would be prefferable to buy?

a late 2004 SE

or a 2005 S

SE has more toys but then the S would be a newer car by a few months to a year. Anybody got any views on which would be the best buy?

cheers!

As long as both have had all the necessary services and service actions (items LR have specified as being 'fixed' / modified) done both would be a good bet.

SE of course would be better specced, would depend on mileage etc too.

I bought a late 2004 SE and love it to bits. No waiting for satnav to warm up, very little time for the cabin to warm, leather heated power seats, ooooh the list goes on Mr. Green Thumbs Up Was going for a manual but really glad I ended up with the auto, so much more relaxing to drive 8)

thanks for your replys,

i must admit those leather seats and sat nav in the SE are helping to sway my mind Laughing

its on 49,000 with last service being at 41,000 which doesnt sound too bad? when would the next service be due?

have you had any real probs in yours BrumLee? my simple theory behind my car buying is usually "wots newer don't break down so much"!! Whistle

Servicing is every 12 months or 15,000 miles. Which ever is sooner. HTH

A 49K SE with Full LR service history would be my choice. Thumbs Up
I would have a Oil and Filter service done on her just to be on the safe side .

Andy - after much thought (and help from the folks here Thumbs Up ) I picked up a 2005 SE Auto - and love it to bits.

Leather, heated front and back seats plus a few extra bits that were already on like Premium Sat Nav with Voice & TMC, Bi-Xenons, Premium Logic 7 ICE - well worth the search and no regrets.

SE Thumbs Up

Or HSE?

Now that's thrown you! Laughing
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Mines on 73000 but I have Land Rover warranty on it until January 2009 Wink At that mileage I think most of the usual stuff would have been done, plus it was an ex-demo so had it done right Whistle Did get engine fault and gearbox fault come on the other Sunday but went off after re-starting.

Hope whichever one you pick makes you as happy as mine has 8)
