Gearbox pan & filter change - ?

D4 is due its annual service/MOT at end of the month by my LR indie.
Noticed that paperwork at last service was recommending a gearbox & filter change, advised at 80k.
When I enquired about this and its price, was advised it is prohibitive maintenance, but comes with a cost of over £600.
I’m all for prohibitive maintenance, but at such a high price I’m just questioning its viability.

Thoughts and comments most welcome. Thumbs Up ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

A flush is more beneficial than filter change

If a flush is not an option, then filter change is next best option

£600 is a bit excessive though... My D3 Build Thread
