Steering wheel massively on the wonk

Had my D4 in at a well known tyre shop yesterday for tracking,
After a good couple of hours it now drives spot on but the steering wheel is massively off to the right
I took it straight back and they had another go but ended up saying
I need to take it to main dealer as there must be something wrong with it 🤷🏼‍♂️

They refunded my money and that’s that
So do I take it somewhere else
Take it to main dealer
Or
Live with it
Surely it must be done wrong if when I put the wheel straight it shots off to the left
Any advise welcomed thanks

Looks like they haven't centred the steering wheel before doing the adjustments

Was this 4 wheel tracking if it was did you get the before and after print out

sounds more like they didnt know what they were doing and using the ''internet down'' excuse to not show the ''after' graphic.

Youve got your money back so I would go to somewhere else that knows what they are doing with a D4, you wont have lost anything financially at this point.

Main dealer would be the last resort as an £80/£90 tracking at a reputable tyre shop would swiftly turn into a £300 or £400 visit to the dealer just for tracking. Not even sure if main dealers have tracking facilities any more or if they farm it out to a local tyre shop.

They did not know what they was doing, they should have made sure the steering wheel straight first. And did they put it in TT mode.

Flack Thumbs Up

A "Hunter" 4 wheel track machine is the usual route for 4x4 tracking setup.
The printout looks like this.. quite distinctive.

I know this link has been shared before. Gives you workshops that have Hunter alignment equipment and training in your area, if that’s the route you think is best (see above).

x 1 for getting it done somewhere with the Hunter kit..

You'll get a print out before and after with any adjustments.

I had a similar issues a few years ago, most normal tyre places don't know about tight tolerance mode or have the ability to do it..

Qt least it shouldn't cost as much to have it done again as all the adjusters have been freed off by Joe Bloggs Wheel Alignment Company Whistle .
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
