Feeling every bump
After some advice,
I have a D4 MY2012 which really doesn't ride very well. I feel every bump in the road whether that's potholes, joins in the tarmac etc. It seems to feel worse at slower speeds, when I go over speed bumps at a faster speed it seems like the EAS does its job well.
I have GG AT3s all round running around 33 psi front and 35 psi rear.
I do have a fault with the compressor which is an issue with the exhaust on the compressor, the fault code is C1A13-64 - pressure does not decrease when venting gallery. The cars in next week to get this resolved, would this fault make the suspension really harsh? I wouldn't of thought so?
There's no knocks under breaking etc so I don't think the bushes have gone, I could be wrong though. The suspension keeps its height overnight and doesn't sag on any of the corners.
The cars at 115k, any thoughts, experience or advice would be appreciated.

Has a previous owner fitted long life poly bushes? These give a stiffer (bumpier) ride…I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

:thumbs-up: That’s exactly my thoughts or lower arms have been locked up while hanging not with weight on them.

Thanks all,
The cars fairly new to me, I brought it knowing it wasn't riding as well as it should (long story).
I'll get under the car today to see if there's polybushes fitted, and have a look around. My gut tells me it's either harder than OEM bushes or like you say they've been locked up whilst hanging.
I will replace I think in the coming weeks if that is the case, would I need to change all lower and upper control arms, or could I get away with front lower, rear upper?

Hard to tell. Using polybushes now and they seem about the same as oil bushings - a little stiffer but not much. "Feeling everyting on the road" leads me to think something is loose - maybe sway bar bushings? I changed the sway bar bushings at one point as the were worn... Think I would look at the oldest components first. Would be surprised if the conclusion are the upper arms, but what do I know...
My car does have a little oversteer which is nice in the turns, but uncomfortabale on the straights - suspecting the steering rods (which are on order), but could also be something in the rear.

Compressor not exhausting? - have you checked the pressure the system is working at? -unusual I know but it is possible that it is running at to high a pressure, also AMK software runs at a lower pressure than Hitachi, yours is on the boarder line for when the change was made.

Just checked the gallery pressure - 330kpa?
Thes cars in on Friday to sort the compressor out so hopefully I can rule out anything compressor then.

Worth checking ride heights as it may have been set up at the wrong ride height - do you have access to an IID??Must stop buying shiny toys....

Hi, thanks, I can check the ride height but can't calibrate it unfortunately, I've gone cheap with a Autel MaxiAP, alright I guess for 50 quid but is only good for reading codes, keep thinking I need to get a gap iid tool but can't face the price of them 😭

You don’t need a diagnostic tool to check ride heights, just a tape measure and level ground although I don’t think that is your problem, if the ride height is lower than 22mm from standard it will automatically go into max height when access is selected.It can when others can't,

I'm thinking it's the struts just being old and tired. The cars on 115k miles.
Is this sort of the age they tend to require replacing?
Is there a definitive way of checking the struts to see if they're knackered? It's feels like all 4 are as bad as each other to me however would like to test so I can isolate the issue to the struts.
