D3 over D4 for Tin Tenting

Just back from my first decent length tow pulling our 1800kg Adria caravan. The D4 seems to make for a more relaxed drive than my old D3. The D3 always felt the tug of passing traffic on the motorway and although I never had any major swaying the caravan always made its presence felt. The D4 has much more control over the caravan and I feel much happier passing slower traffic at 60mph than before. Although my old D3 had loads more miles on the clock the struts and airbags had all been renewed and all the suspension bushes were in good nick. For what is essentially the same vehicle I am very happy with the new car for towing duties - the extra torque and power doesn’t do any harm either!
Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

I find the only thing that really 'upsets' my D3 is when you get a luton van overtaking at silly speeds, the rest of the time is just the normal air between a large wagon and the caravan just dragging the van a little bit. I came from a ford Kuga so you can imagine the difference in stability for me.
