Suspension on bump stops
Hi all.
My 2008 Lr3 has an issue which I’m struggling to understand and get my head round.
After a week of standing I started him up as per usual. Engine ran sweet as ever. Next warning lights from hdc and transmission saying limited gears available and no programmes available. Next thing the suspension goes to access height only. I have ran my gap on it and the code that is picked is in the image.
My first question is where is the control unit as I have no idea and any ideas as to what is wrong or indeed how to diagnose?
Many thanks in advance Pat and Derek the D3

How old is the battery? I’d probably start with recharging it and a hard reset.

Disconnect leads from battery and touch the leads together. 👍🏻

Watching with interest.
Looks like a possible faulty brake light switch.

The brake light switch is located below the steering wheel. Just do a little bit of searching on the forum. There is plenty of information on replacing it. As an outside chance the steering wheel sensor may need re calibration.Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

Basic place to start, does the compressor run?
If not, bridge the relay to see if it will.
If it does, is it making pressure?
If yes, is there a leak?
If no, take a look inside. I had the tiny con rod come off the electric motor drive shaft.

That's one off the list then
If you fancy it, you could therefore bridge the relay to raise the suspension and get going with the 3 amigos for company.

The voltage looks a little low. Try an overnight recharge.
