New to me Disco 3 TDV6
Had several Touaregs over the years as I originally wanted a Disco 2, but struggled to find one with decent chassis. Have loved the Touaregs but always wanted to get back into Land Rovers, having had a defender years ago.
Finally settled on a 54 plate Disco TDV6 with decent mileage and low tax. Last picture shows it on test drive. Since getting it home have added the roof rails and thule roof bars. Added some 275 55 20 Bridgestone Dueller tyres to some 20" wheels I already had. I have then added a genuine Safari Snorkel and yesterday partially de tangoed the headlights. Have also added smoked side repeaters and various LED bulbs around the car.
Plans are to enjoy it before adding roof rack probably one I make to mimic pro speed rack. The want lift rods and wouldn't mind Dinitrolling the chassis.

Hi Welcome to the forum. Looks as though you are putting plenty of investment ( time) into it .Wont a de cat pipe make it fail the MoT ?

A few more tasks completed on the disco. Added land rover series 3 mud flaps to replace the old moulded ones.
Bought a chrome disco 4 handbrake switch
Then managed to get some original disco 3 19s with some Goodyear wrangler tyres on.

Managed to find time to fit my nudge bar today. Made some brackets onto bumper bar, tapped and bolts straight through. Didn't have anything to space the bar and bolts but seems fine.
Fitted the 19s with mud tyres on to see how they look and feel. Prefer the look of my 275 55 20 tyres just dont like the range rover alloys. Will have to change them at some point.
Just need to wash and polish it at some point t.

Hi and also welcome to the forum
Looks like you’ve been busy
Lights look different , thought for a minute u sprayed the reflector part , also didn’t know u can have front yellow fog lights , every day is a school day
Also treated my chassis with dinitrol, really does stick that’s for sure including ur hands if I don’t wear gloves

Hiya
May i ask plse , had a better look and indeed see you’ve painted the headlight reflector , would that reduce the light and would it be an issue for MOTs
Are they the xenon headlights and do u get a lot of heat
Wish to upgrade my standard halogen headlights at some stage
Thks again and apologises for all the questions

The xenon projector is untouched so no difference to beam pattern. I just painted the chrome surround which is jot a reflector. Also full beam I did not paint.

Thks, assume the xenon is different , , as on a halogen the plastic chrome surround would add to the lights reflective ability at night time
Was just curious thats all as I had never seen that done before , maybe I’m looking at it all wrong
Just thought it would be an mot failure , learn something new every day
Many thks
