None start after rough idling |
|
Hi guys and gals.
So had a run out to weston in the discovery two days ago. Ran sweet as it always does all the way down there. However on the return journey just coming of m5 onto m42 slowed to a stop for traffic and noticed idle was really rough. No warnings bongs etc limped it back home and parked up. Went out to it hour later it started but was running really lumpy. Turned it off and put it as problem for tomorrow.
Anyway went out to it yesterday and was cranking but not firing.
I have today spent some time on it and would appreciate some help with it.
Scraeder valve at back of hpfp has fuel only slight dribble but its there (got gauge coming at some point this afternoon to check the pressure). Fuse is good and relay is good swapped out just in case.
On the diag shows pressure on cranking at 3500kpa at best but never seems to be that high for long. Having checked sdd that seems to say it should be 65000kpa
Only fault code I have is P0191-23.
I have removed cleaned and refitted the rail pressure sensor.
I've replaced the fuel filter although the one on it is only 5months old and as picture shows had alot of crap init.
When cranking it seems to want to catch but just doesn't. There's fuel to the rail again not the squirt if expect to see.
I'm thinking the in tank pumps is caput, maybe the filter to the intake pump blocked.
I have read robbies walk through and will post further results when the gauge arrives.
Any help or advise is appreciated

Just ran a pressure test on the scraeder valve and only getting 0.3bar at best so think this confirms in tank pump is kaput. Though it can be heard when stood at the back wheel
