Air Suspension Compressor Relays |
|
The Land Rover part number for the air suspension compressor relay is normally stated as being YWB500220 which is a 12V 70A relay.
In checking what is fitted to my vehicle I find there is currently a FoMoCo 5M5T-14B192-EA V23136-J4-X62 12V 70A grey relay which was manufactured in Portugal fitted. It also has the markings ++14403 1C on it which I suspect is a manufacturing production code.
To get a reasonable quality relay I was considering purchasing a Bosch 0 986 332 002 12V 70A relay (grey body)
However, I see there is also a Bosch 0 986 AH0 082 12V 70A relay (black body)
The question is there any real difference between the above Bosch relays or other makes of 12V 70A relays and are they all suitable for use as the air suspension compressor relay and if so should I just go ahead and just get the first mentioned Bosch grey body relay.

The FoMoCo is probably the original as JLR were part of Ford for a while, my mirror fold relay is Ford
12V is the actuator voltage, 70A is the contact current rating. About the only variation possible is the actuator CURRENT can differ slightly so affect the load on the driver device but auto ones seem to be interchangeable. A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV
