Best good value diagnostic tool to buy?
Hi all,
I want to buy a good fault code reader and resetter for my 2010 Disco 4 and wondered what the general opinion is?
I have a tailgate problem but after changing actuator and tested, there is no power in loom. Something tells me there will be a code to reset as all wiring looks fine
Cheers
Phil

IID is the best one to get, initial outlay is high (around £450-500 new) but appear on here often for around £300 secondhand so you’ll get your money back when if you ever move on to other cars…
Otherwise the Autel AP200 in white does a lot of things and is good value for around £70..
Worth putting an ad in the wanted section I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Hi,
agree with Nige there is a BTiid for sale now, you can sell it again down the line for the same amount so to me that's good Value
as for your tailgate, suspect broken loom in the upper tailgate don't think anything needs resetting have a look at this thread.
