Central locking D3

Just a question. the remote control - unlocking - doors stopped working for me (Dicovery3) and I read about the possibility of repair, a problem connection in the wiring, I just don't know where to look for it. Supposedly in the passenger seat. Is the wiring the same for cars with a steering wheel on the left or is it mirror-made ?So should I look for the connection on the opposite side (passenger on the right)??

Search green wire splice, there are a couple of threads on this. It's in the sill, always on front passenger. E.g. RHD, its on left side. LHD its on right side.
I had this on mine. Once you locate green wire splice buried amongst loom, it normally looks fine. My sill was half full of water from leaking sunroof drain.

Thank you, I'm going to keep searching and tearing the bundle, maybe I'll find the link. Thank you!

The green wire splice is buried right inside the bundle of wires in the sill. Mine looked perfect but water must have got in and caused corrosion.
My sill was half full of water. It took days to dry it out. I had wet carpet on the front passenger side as well, from perished sun roof drain tube.
Once I found it the green wire splice I cut the wires, stripped, soldered, and insulated with heat shrink. Central locking then worked perfectly again.
Someone may like to comment on the locking mechanism. I don't have any experience of that however. Good luck.
