| Slight movement in seat base cushion |

I've read a number of threads via the search but I don't think they answer this query.
My seat base cushion is NOT creeping forward as others have had, so I don't think there's cracks in the frame etc.
Both sides do this- the seat cushion can move back and forth about 2 mm, so when you brake, you feel it etc. It's annoying and I want to fix it.
Is the seat cushion itself held down by clips that could have weakened and therefore move, or is there a screw/bolt fixing that could be loose?
Seems odd that both do it, passenger seats rarely get the same amount of use, car has relatively low miles (49K)
Anyone got an exploded diagram of how the seat is put together?

The seat squab is held in position by 4 torque screws, the front ones are very difficult to access and may even be missing if a previous owner has not fitted them.
Access the rear ones first as that will give you a good idea of what you are looking for, move the seat maximum forward and up, go to the rear foot well(rear passenger door) and you will see the back two torque screws holding the squab in place, the front two are the same, to access them put the seat maximum back and high, pull the front black cover off with maximum force, if you decide to remove the squab be sure you use the correct size torque bit in a 1/4” drive ratchet as they are usually very tight and made out of cheese, should you round one off you will have a nightmare of a job.
The squab will just lift out but be aware there are a lot of cables under there, if you go any further take a photo of them to assist refitting.  It can when others can't,

They are tight -as. It's not those that are allowing the cushion to move ever so slightly.
My Guess (without an exploded diagram) is that the cushion in held in with some clips too, and these are allowing the movement 1998 Defender 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF

Does the seat base move back under electric motor and stay there for a while before it starts to move to and fro? If so then I remember a previous thread where it was advised that it was due to play in the drive mechanism. My D3 (now on 290k) has done it since about 50k, but I have just learned to live with it. Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

No it’s not that symptom.
If I am standing outside the car and grab the seat base I can get it to move slightly but it’s not the frame moving, just the cushion part. 1998 Defender 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF

Undo the four torque screws lift the base out and have a look! It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
