Some kind of connector type thing

On the back of the armrest, possibly ipod type thing, but wont fit my ipod? Anyone knows what it is?

If you mean in the lid of the cubby box then yes, you can get various phone cradles from LR that fit into the connector. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto
