| Infotainment shutting down |

MY2014 / HSE
My infotainment system has started shutting itself down, seemingly without pattern. It shuts down, comes back on after a few seconds, runs for a 10 or 15 seconds, then shuts down again. If I stop and turn the vehicle on and off again, then it seems to clear and will run without interruption.
Any thoughts?

only suggestion I can give you is to do some test on MOST bus checking all the modules get clear light
i had similar before finally head unit died completely but it was supa easy to diagnose and replace works smashing at present

Not sure how to test MOST - any tips?
It happened again this afternoon, drove for 30 mins no issue. Then 10 mins into next journey, it started its cycle of shutting down and powering back up again. I can hear a click from fuse box / relays at glove box when it is going through this cycle, in case that helps diagnose the issue.
Also noticed that the parking sensors are not working when the head unit goes off, similarly the EPB. Both work normally when rest of infotainment operating normally.
I noted on another thread that the voltage is reading 13.7 / 13.8 when this cycle goes on as opposed to the usual 14.3 / 14.5 when all is settled
Anyone else ever have this?

so looks like same what happened to out head unit which eventually stopped serving speaker connected to PDC
testing MOST is easy got to take panels off surrounding head unit to have access to it and radio as well as driver side rear cuartr to have accesss to other bits MOST bus connected to see where light isnt showing on the fibre
but I bet replacing head unit would be quicker as it is defo on its way out

Thanks for that, when you replaced your head unit, did you have 'Extra Features' such as 4x4 info / timed climate etc enabled? Did these automatically appear on the new head unit, not sure how the whole system works?

Am still in the trouble shooting stage!
Have not had a chance to pull things apart to check MOST, but still not ready to move away from a potential voltage issue. Driving this morning and voltage was over 14V all the time and no issues. But when I do have an issue with the head unit shutting down, the voltage seems to be 13.7 / 13.8. But I would have thought that would be ok as it can be lower than that at start up.
Also and to confuse it further, when I am having 'issues' with it, it won't turn on when the vehicle is not turned on - which it should. As i said, there is some clicking from the fusebox area, was wondering if it might be a relay?

thats all kept in your CCF file so yes all back in place no drama

hopefully supa easy fix maybe relay or something there
