Discovery 3 rear prop shaft UJ not c clips,

i have recently changed the centre prop bearing but only after fitting noticed later that the UJ nuckle at the rear of prop shaft is very notchy, and looked into changing them and one comes up, comes with C clips and mine dose not have any just looks like about 4 indentions around the ring roughy where they might have been a c clip there is no grove where a c clip would be have been looked at the diffent types of UJ retaining clips some are the normal on the top c clips , some are underneath , and some have a plastic internal retaining clip, i was thinking of trying to drift it out , but is unfamiliar territory without it being normal the c clip type but i was thinking of seeing if anyone has already come across this , The car is drivabile but i know it needs doing , thanks

This is the reason people recommend buying a new propshaft, and not changing the centre bearing. Invariably the rear UJ will be shot anyway.
The UJ's are staked, and are not changeable without the specialist tooling. The prop would than need balancing even if you did manage to change the UJ. I don't know why anyone would offer a kit, you can't do it.
Cut your losses and buy a GKN propshaft. Cheap ones won't last either!

Cheers buddy, i will deffo get a new one , i sought of got tunnel vision when spotted the worn out prop centre bearing i was inbetween jobs on it what started out to be just replace gear in the rear hand brake unit the slipper clutch in there threw the c clip off and when i replaced the unit noticed a little wet patch on rear brake pipe on the retaining clip over the rear axle about a foot away from the rubber hose that goes toward the caliper ,so had to replace it so i did both sides because the other one didnt look far away either , wasnt untill i was removing exhaust then the heat gaurds that the brake pipes where under i noticed the centre prop bearing was all worn out, and without taking it off and checking the whole unit eg; UJ , which is what i should have really done, i had ordred a centre bearing But i am going to pop it back togeter and have a good look for some fair prices for one, and get one asap, i sort of knew a new prop is the way to go, just a second point of veiw make be feel better in buying a new one and not put any more time and money in a bad prop shaft which may or may not be quite right afterwards , once again thanks for the input , cheers
