suggest a B&B in Ayr or Girvan?

Hi,

we are having a bit of road trip next month (hight of summer sun shine Laughing )
and booked a couple of B&B's already for Dumfries and Newton Stewart

we are struggling a bit trying to fine somewhere for a night or two in Ayr or possibly Girvan Question

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know Bow down

Think we might have a night in Carlisle on the way back as well but not even looked at there yet Rolling Eyes

TIA Thumbs Up

I can recommend Brooklands in Penrith for your journey south - service and breakfast is great, even if the rooms are a bit fussy (ie loads of cushions everywhere etc).

IMHO both Girvan and Carlisle are best avoided - other than a visit to Thomas Grahams in Carlisle (best hide your wallet though)!

Try the Braidmead in Irvine

James is a great host, house is very clean and well run, and looked after the family very well on my dad’s funeral.

I stayed here a couple of nights several years back - very simple and 1970s but I think it was fine for the price, and nice being smack on the sea-front. Also close to shops in nearby streets.
I hope you get fixed-up Smile))
