Auxiliary Battery D4 Landmark
My D4 is now 4 years old with 34000 miles. Booked in for 48month service at the end of this month.
Yesterday the Eco warning (orange / amber) came on and toggling the eco switch gives a screen message ECO not available.
Searching the forum points me in the direction of the auxiliary battery being low so my question,
If the main battery is put on charge on the vehicle via ground to chassis and positive terminal does this also charge the auxiliary?
Thanks.

On a right hand drive vehicle it is on the drivers side (opposite the main battery) which is on the passenger side. Remove the rear left hand cover (looking from the front) to expose master cylinder and the auxiliary battery.

Update.
With recent reduced mileage and using the tv without engine running had taken its toll on the auxiliary battery.
I was all set to purchase a modern charger or replace the auxiliary battery. However, after a longer trip (40 miles) the warning lamp has extinguished and the ECO is selectable on the switch.

Yes that’s what was recommended on this forum and what I did. I later found out that you should do a Battery Management System reset for that battery after swapping it (reference Disco Mikey). I haven’t had any issues ( done 21 months ago) but you should do it if you can. IID tool has capability to do it if you have one.Gary

OK, I've got to ask: why?
Stop/Start just does its thing and doesn't affect the way the vehicle performs, so why are some people so opposed to it?Gordon
