2014 Discovery 4 Gearbox
I have a 2014 Discovery 4 which occasionally doesn't change up from 1st gear. The only way to resolve this is to stop the car turn off the engine then re-start the car then gearbox changes perfectly. only happens sporadically and when the car is up to temperature. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Best take it to your local LR indie and get it checked out ….. if you have one.
They are thin on the ground in D&G though, I’ve got a 1.5hr drive each way for mine....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Your best bet is to get up to Mike in Dundee [DiscoMikey on this forum].
Unfortunately for me in DG8 [with no near access to the M74], that's a bit too far.
I use Gibsons in Cumnock

Though they don't have a flush machine, they do a gearbox oil & pan change.
Flush is best, so I declined mine when there in May.
Got my D4 booked in for a flush next month at JAS in North Yorks [where I'm moving back to]....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
