Weekend in remote cottage, West Wales
Just back from a weekend at a remote cottage in West Wales, in the Cambrian Mountains, around 40 mins from Tal-y-Bont
Gorgeous place and completely off grid, stayed there with Siblings and mother for my 50th

Solar panels, battery bank and a genny....they do have wifi but thank goodness it was broken.
The farmer is a fluent Welsh speaker and a cracking host
He has another 2 cottages but Llechwedd Mawr is a good 40 mins away from civilisation Iggy/Ieuan

Yes it was supposed to have wifi but had broken the day before. It's some kind of satilite wifi, but to be honest was fantastic not having access to emails etc.
Had to walk 4 miles to get phone reception to let SWMBO know I was still alive Iggy/Ieuan

You cross two rivers/streams....Afon Llechwedd Mawr & Nat Y March
Surrounded by old Lead mines, works and a few reseviours
Will certainly be going back there.....oh yes water is 'Well' fed and a decent filtration system
