PSA: Engine cover cuts coolant hose
I was just hunting out the cause of my Restricted Performance issues (another story for another time) and noticed this:
The engine cover, either whilst driving or more likely during fitting and removal has cut into the coolant elbow quite a way. The edges of the cover are sharp so I've filed them smooth all around. The hose is damaged enough that it needs replacing.
Worth checking before it causes a leak!

The additional gauze on the hose should be in that area to protect the hose.2010 HSE
Full service genuine parts.
Front and rear pads.
Turbo oil drain pipe mod.
