2010 discovery 4 gearbox fault p0915

Hi, I’ve got a 2010 discovery 4 6speed auto and I’m getting a random gearbox fault on the dash and it will thud when selecting gear turn it off restart and I’ll be fine for a while. Fault code is po915-01 gearshift position circuit range performance. Has anyone come across this before? Thanks
