Out of curiosity, would the location make any difference to interest? I actually live near London but took the car north as post ULEZ had flooded the market locally. Considering bringing it back down and just paying the ULEZ fee for any test drives.

It's a lovely car but out of my price range . I think that the market for selling, at least around here, seems to be a bit depressed at the moment, "impulsive buying" has been replaced by serious consideration of affordability. So unless a really good deal at or just a bit above my budget appears again, (I think one D3 has just passed me by), it appears my old 2003 9-5 Saab may have to last a while longer.

I think that is a fair assessment of how things are at the moment. A combination of inflated used car prices and inflated cost of living. Good luck with your search.

If it’s a case of ‘just affording’ a D3/4 then stick to the Saab, especially in theses straightened times. These beasties can chew money if you get it wrong and the 9-5 is a cracking car I had a 2000 Aero estate that is one of the few cars I regret selling. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)
