Retro fit D piller speakers |
|
Has anyone ever retro fitted the rear D piller speakers ?
I just wondering if it’s possible to buy the connectors to connect some cable from them to the amp. TIA D4 HSE

Drop that term into the 'Search' and there's lots of info.
This is from there and pretty comprehensive.

I’m upgrading the amp to a GK52-19C164 that has the extra pins for the D pillar speakers.
Does anyone know which pins they connect to on the amp and through which connector or does anyone know the connector numbers below the amp please ? D4 HSE

Just a note - I’ve completed this job.
For anyone else , the NS rear D pillar speaker goes to pins 5 and 13 and the OS rear D pillar speaker goes to pins 6 and 14 on the blue connector to the amp.
The proper connector part number to my speakers was YPC912980 but check as there are different speakers with different connectors.
I used 1.5mm cable.
Hope it helps somebody. D4 HSE

You don’t say if there is any improvement on sound quality! I don’t have any problems with either sound quality or volume, in fact I have never got round to turning up the volume to max, my ears can’t hack it It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
